About Me: Jana Hayes, MSW, LCSW (CADC Candidate)

At Graceful Transformation, we believe that no one’s story has to end in pain. In a world overwhelmed by emotional pain, addiction, trauma, and uncertainty, Graceful Transformation Counseling offers more than just coaching—we offer evidence-based therapy and a path to wholeness by breaking free from generational cycles, renewing your mindset to walk in freedom and God’s grace.

Let me help you reach your full potential by getting you into a growth mindset surrounding your mental health, relationships, finances, trauma, addictions, life goals, and more. I help you manage major life transitions while providing tools for healthy growth and change. I meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be, unlocking your purpose, aligning it with your passion, fulfilling your destiny.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over nine years of experience supporting individuals and families through some of life's most difficult seasons. I'm currently pursuing my Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential and have gained meaningful, hands-on experience through work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions.

In addition to therapy, I also provide faith-based life counseling, helping clients gain clarity, build confidence, and take strategic steps toward personal and professional transformation. As a Life, Trauma, Addictions, Financial, Relationship, and Accountability Counselor, I empower individuals to move forward with intention and resilience in every area of their lives.

My passion is helping people heal holistically—emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually—through faith-centered counseling and therapy, trauma recovery, and addiction support. I work with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, life transitions, and substance use issues. Over the years, I've served in a wide range of roles, including school social worker, crisis counselor, life therapist, and mental health therapist. I've supported clients in outpatient clinics, educational settings, and community-based programs, which has given me a broad perspective and deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face at every stage of life. Whether you're navigating personal struggles or seeking greater purpose and direction, I aim to walk alongside you with compassion, integrity, and grace.

Our Therapy Approach

I believe both therapy and counseling should be tailored to each person's unique story, strengths, and values. I use an integrated, evidence-based approach that includes:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help reframe unhelpful thought patterns and improve daily coping.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – to teach emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and relationship skills.

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy – to create a safe space for healing from complex trauma and emotional wounds.

  • Substance Use and Addiction Counseling (CADC Internship Experience) – to support recovery with structure, compassion, and accountability.

  • Faith-Based Counseling – to help clients align their mental wellness with biblical principles and spiritual growth.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy – to focus on what's working and build hope and momentum toward your goals.

  • Christian Counseling & Mentorship – to support goal setting, accountability, emotional healing, and discovering God's purpose for your life.

  • Crisis Intervention – for individuals facing acute distress.

  • Couples Therapy – helping partners heal, reconnect, and strengthen communication.

  • Empowerment-Focused Strategies – ensuring clients feel seen, heard, and capable of lasting change.

My therapeutic approach complements the clinical work I do by focusing on action, identity renewal, mindset shifts, and real-world application. Whether you're seeking therapy to heal the past or counseling to build your future—or both—I'm here to meet you where you are and help you move forward.

Every session is tailored to your needs, your values, and your pace. My therapeutic approach is warm, honest, and action-oriented, and I'm especially passionate about integrating faith into the healing process for those who desire it—anchoring each step in biblical truth, prayer, and spiritual discernment.

You don't have to figure it all out alone. Whether you're ready to heal from the past, grow in the present, or prepare for a purpose-filled future, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you break free from survival mode, reclaim your peace, and step into the life you were created for.

In my addiction counseling internship, I've facilitated one-on-one sessions, group psychoeducation, and relapse prevention work. This experience has deepened my passion for supporting those on the journey to recovery. I recognize how shame, trauma, and isolation often accompany addiction, and I'm committed to helping clients build a new path grounded in faith, grace, and personal responsibility.

My Clinical & Counseling Background

I've had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both clinical and educational environments. I've conducted mental health assessments, created personalized treatment plans, and provided crisis intervention and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress, suicidal ideation, or emotional overwhelm.

As a therapist and workshop leader, I facilitate psychoeducational and spiritual growth groups focused on trauma healing, purpose discovery, financial wellness, emotional resilience, and Christian accountability. My style is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented—I meet my clients where they are and help them grow at a pace that honors their process to help them get to where they want to be.

Graceful Transformation Counseling & Podcast

I'm the founder of Graceful Transformation Counseling, a Christian-centered practice that offers therapy, addiction recovery support, and faith-based life and purpose counseling. I'm also the host of the upcoming Graceful Transformation Podcast, a space for biblically grounded conversations, practical mental health tips, and real stories of healing and resilience.

My mission is to help people grow through what they've gone through—spiritually, mentally, and emotionally—so they can step into who they were created to be.

My Philosophy

My approach is holistic, grace-centered, and rooted in both clinical knowledge and spiritual insight. I blend evidence-based strategies with faith-based tools to help you uncover the deeper "why" behind your patterns, shift your mindset, and build a life that reflects your true identity and values. Together, we'll work to restore self-worth, establish healthy boundaries, develop practical structure, and transform pain into purpose—one intentional step at a time.

I believe true healing and growth happen when people feel seen, safe, and supported. My goal is to provide a space where you can show up just as you are, work through what's weighing you down, and take meaningful steps toward healing, wholeness, and purpose. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, struggling with substance use, or seeking a therapist to help you align your life with your values, I'm here to walk alongside you in faith and strength.

Outside of Therapy

When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my two children and family. I'm active, adventurous, and always up for a good basketball game, bookstore visit, or family outing to an amusement park. I also love watching NBA games and professional boxing—sports have always reminded me of the resilience and determination we all need to grow and overcome.
